What does it mean to exist here, between the beauty of the land and the power of
technology?
My new exhibition, Landscapes & Mindscapes: Reflections on the Worlds We Inhabit, brings together photography of Iowa’s landscapes and AI-assisted visual art reflecting on the natural and technological environments of contemporary life.
On view at Gallery in the Round, UUFA (1015 Hyland Ave, Ames, IA) April 4–June 30,

Hi everybody! I'm leading a Beginner’s Photography Class next Saturday Feb 7th at the Des Moines Public Library. From technique to attention and intention, this is a friendly, small-group introduction to making photographs with purpose, whether you’re using a phone or a dedicated camera. We’ll explore how light becomes an image, how framing guides attention, and how simple settings shape what your photographs communicate.

Next Saturday, Feb 7 at 10:15 AM. We’ll meet in the lobby of Des Moines Public Library – (Central Location) and head to a study room with great window light. Weather permitting, we’ll also take a brief walk to Pappajohn Sculpture Park before returning indoors for guided sharing and discussion.
