can handle! Think we can't scare you? Come to the Historic Route 66 Amarillo World Premiere of the 6th Street Massacre in the abandoned movie theater on 6th Street and find out that WE CAN! Many of our scenes from last year have been torn down and re-designed by full time personnel that have been working since November of last year. Our team is headed by a theater set designer who has over 11 years of experience. Each set is completely unique and has some flavor of a movie theater or a movie from the past. After a year of planning, this year's haunt is better than ever. A new outdoor, 2000 square feet graveyard that boasts a 1940 Cadillac Hearse as it's centerpiece along with a 6 foot freshly dug grave. Here are some questions and answers from a reporter for a story on our haunts:
1) Is Sixth Street Massacre really haunted? Pampa Texas Paranormal Research Society along with a couple of other paranormal investigation groups have conducted many investigations in the same manner seen on TV shows like Ghost Hunters. I was skeptical at first of their finding but after witnessing different groups of investigators conclude with almost duplicate results, I am a believer that it is indeed haunted. An example of the findings are that there is a little girl's spirit living in the building. She plays games with us and gets angry when we don't come visit the building at least once a week. This season, one of our actors had their own child up at the haunt and their child told us that a little girl kept asking her to come play with her but there were no other children at the haunt at that time. A couple of years ago, The A&E show, My Ghost Story, profiled the the ghost investigation results on national TV. Former maintenance people of the Chainsaw building said there have been many unexplained events occur in the building. We have only owned the building for a short time but we do have plans to bring in investigators to check it out.
