Started this sleeve awhile back and I am so excited about where its going. She had the flowers at the bottom growing up from her wrist not really moving with her arm and really stiff. So we are working on pulling it in and making and taking over. I cant wait to start bringing more to life!

This memorial was unfortunately rushed ,missing pieces, designed backwards, unproportionate, and a dark mess. So she came to me to figure out what we could do.

I love these transformations. Such a challenge to combat each element I spoke of. All of the swirls are actually a lighter black so there will be even more variances when it heals.

So excited!!! And I love transforming things we dont like on our bodies to a memorial we can be proud of!

This leather work piece was so fun to do!!! Her dad tooled a leather belt for her when she was young and we tattooed it!...

LETS BREAK THIS COLOR WONT LAST…Color Tattoos Can Last

There’s a misconception that color tattoos don’t last as long as black and gray tattoos. The truth is, a well-executed color tattoo can stay vibrant for many years just like black and gray.

A few things make a huge difference:

The artist: Pigment needs to be properly packed and saturated into the skin. Taking the time to slowly and thoroughly build up the color gives the tattoo a much better foundation for long-term longevity.
The healing process: The client plays a huge role too. Proper aftercare and allowing the tattoo to heal correctly are essential.
Sun protection: Once healed, sunscreen is one of the best things you can do to protect your tattoo from fading over time.

If an artist rushes through a tattoo and doesn’t make sure an area is properly saturated, there simply may not be enough pigment in the skin to begin with. That can lead to the color appearing washed out or losing vibrancy sooner than expected.

And this applies to black and gray too. It’s not that color is inherently less permanent. Poor saturation, technique, healing, and sun exposure can affect any tattoo.

Black and gray is typically where artists begin their studies, and many artists become comfortable and proficient with it fairly quickly. Color theory, pigment selection, color packing, layering, and understanding how different colors heal can come later and not every artist takes the time to really study those things or follow up on how their healed work holds up years down the road.

Here’s a perfect example.

I did this tattoo 8 or 9 years ago, and I just received a photo of it recently. Nearly a decade later, the colors are still bright and vibrant.

That’s what proper technique, proper saturation, proper healing, and good long-term care can do.

Color tattoos can absolutely stand the test of time. It’s about the artist, the application, the healing, and how you care for it afterward.

16 years tattooing. 🖤 16 years of creating, learning, connecting, and growing.

This was my first machine a Mickey Sharpz from 2010, the same year I got my license. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of studying for four years under two incredible tattoo mentors and a master painter, building on my fine art background and constantly evolving my craft.

What I never expected was how much the people would become part of the art.

I’ve met people from every walk of life, watched families grow, cheered people through their journeys, shared deep conversations, and created a space where people can simply be themselves, heal, connect, and make meaningful art.

Today, my space has evolved from a traditional shop experience into a collaborative art studio. We don’t just pick a picture and tattoo it we dig deeper. We explore ideas, aesthetics, placement, symbolism, and how the artwork can harmonize with your body.

Sometimes you come in with a complete vision. Sometimes you have a hundred ideas and no clue where to start. Sometimes you just trust me and let me run with it.

I see myself as a guide bringing my years of study, experience, and artistic perspective together with your ideas and your story to create something truly yours.

From exploratory conversations to detailed proposals and full design development, I love pulling people deeper into the creative process and helping them discover their own inner artist.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted me, created with me, laughed with me, healed with me, and let me be a small part of your journey.

Here’s to 16 years and whatever masterpiece comes next. 🖤🎨

If you’re ready for a unique tattoo experience and want to create something that feels completely you, let’s make some art.
