❓Question for my audience❓
So I’m considering dipping my toes into live streams. This is something I’ve considered for a very long time even before I became a renfaire performer. Dandy the fairy recently informed me that live streams are the only way to get monetized on TikTok these days and I have over 90k followers over there. (Also check her out she’s another garden fairy who makes magical potions).
If I were to do live streams, it would be completely out of character discussions about the business side of renfaire. We could talk about anything from performing to vending to even managing and producing events.
My question for you is, would you be genuinely interested in watching these streams? And if so, would you prefer Facebook or TikTok? (I know y’all might be biased being on Facebook, but I already make decent money here so it’s definitely a considerable option).
And no, this wouldn’t be “for the money”. I am extremely passionate about discussing the business of renfaire and I think it could be a fun new adventure for me. But it would be time consuming and I have a lot of work to do, so I would only want to do it if enough people are watching.
I hope to make a difference in the RenFaire community and set better professional standards so we can all thrive in this industry.
