Ohhhh boy !!!!!! What a Night !!!! We are very appreciative to be part of “Nana’s” 80th birthday 🙌🙌🙌🙌. It was such an amazing time….. I haven’t laughed that hard/long in some time. I’m lucky enough to have known her and a small part of her family for over 30+ yrs. Some of her direct family came from Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee. She was the oldest of 11 other siblings. 5 of those siblings made the journey here to Pennsyltucky to embrace her special day.

Lemme tell you folks…….this party was AMAZING!

I went around with the microphone after we ate, to have folks say anything they’d like to Nana (AKA Joy)…. We started off pretty well, and as a very open DJ to get the best of times on the table…….. we opened up a whole different chapter of this woman’s life.

I was so happy to see folks speak, and embrace the women she is and was over the past 80th.

We had so many hard laughs, once I asked for good stories that was off the Lords path, as they were risen…….. let me tell you …… there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, nor any type of frown.

I had so much fun being part of this woman’s amazing day !

I take 💯 blame for the stories that came out, but they were amazing stories…. Stories that you could laugh and resonate to.

Man……. I’m blown away !!!!

We showed them outta state folks, how we do it here in Pennsyltucky !!!!!

I could ramble for quite some time over this……. But there was a common in the room….. each and everyone who attended, were inspired, encouraged, and loved by “Nana”.

Thank you all for the kind words at the end of the night for my performance….. but truly !!…. I can and wish that I can make and have made a positive impact on people the way that she has !!!!

One of the most important skills a DJ can have has nothing to do with mixing. It's paying attention and mastering the invisible skill of observation.
Yes, we're "reading the room," but it goes much deeper than looking for foot taps or thumbs up on the dance floor. When you hire a DJ, they're paying attention to the things most people overlook.
The moment you quietly tell them your grandparents mean everything to you, they're already thinking about how to make them feel seen and included among a younger peer group.
The toast that mentioned a specific song from your college days.
The guest standing on the edge of the dance floor who just needs the right song at the right moment to pull them in.
It's catching the subtle things that most people never see and using them to make better decisions. Connecting little details that seem unrelated and turning them into meaningful moments.
It's remembering something mentioned months ago during a planning meeting and knowing exactly when it will have the biggest impact.
A great dance floor usually isn't created by forcing favorite songs on people. It's built through skillful observation and intuition.
As a DJ, your mind never really turns off. For hours, you're reading reactions, anticipating what comes next, monitoring energy shifts, processing requests, remembering the smallest details, random conversations, and making hundreds of emotional decisions in real time. It's a marathon of analysis disguised as simply playing music. That's why it seems so simple.
Reading a room is fundamentally about understanding people in an intimate complex way. Understanding relationships.
Understanding energy. Understanding what a crowd needs before they know they need it.That's the part that takes years and that's what separates DJs from a playlist.

I went to a doctor’s appointment this evening for my knees.
They confirmed what my suspicion has been. I need total knee replacement on both knees. I have bone on bone, going on.

It’s with heavy heart that I confirm to you all, Spin doctors dj service will be ending my run at the end of this year.

Thank you to all my clients over the years, the referrals that you all have given me. This past 10yrs in business for myself has been absolutely a very fun ride. I would’ve changed a thing.
I’ve met so many new people, reconnected with old friends, and made even more friends that are now family.

I owe a big shout out to Don Verderame for getting me started, he’s been my number 1 fan and supporter over the years. He and I are neighbors, and it’s been a solid relationship over the past 13yrs when I first started to help him DJ.

Don has been a major contributor to my success…… and every now and again …… I can teach him a thing or 2 also…… but that’s what separates us, from the others. We collaborate, thrive off each other, and deliver a top notch product, each and every time!

Not sure If this is Goodbye permanently….or, I’ll catch ya’ll later !

Regardless……. I thank you all !!

Nominated for Altoona Mirror Hometown favorites the last 4 yrs. ( though I didn’t win, because I don’t play clubs or bars, to have my name out there more) I’m forever thankful for the nomination !
