We are saddened to hear about this today. To those who have asked what it means for us: nothing for now. We will have to explore the possibilities. In the meantime, we wish the owner of Aloha Feed Garden & Pet LLC all the best.
With heavy hearts, we announce the permanent closure of Aloha Feed Garden & Pet. To our friends and loyal customers, we say THANK YOU for the long time support and memories made. It has been an honor to serve the community for multiple generations of our family. My parents took over Aloha Feed in 1994 and moved it to its current location in 1996. I spent many of my childhood afternoons there doing homework and sweeping floors. I took over the business in 2015 and have operated it until today. Unfortunately, there was severe damage done to the front of the building recently that has been a long road to be put back together, along with the current economic environment, rising costs of products and overhead, and large corporate competition moving in, we can no longer sustain a profitable business. Aloha has changed so much over the last 10 years. A drive from Beaverton to Hillsboro on TV Highway shows the aftermath of vacant business after vacant business… We encourage everyone in the community to make their voices heard, shop small and shop local if possible.
