We had a great turnout Saturday and we would like to announce the winners of the car show trophies and the raffles. Thank you to everyone that participated.

Oldest vehicle was a 1929 Ford Model A owned by Dale Powell

Truck class was a 1972 Chevy Cheyenne 10 owned by Larry and Jeannine Colstrom

Stock class went to a 2020 Chevy Corvette Stingray owned by Rosie Solt

Classic (50’s - 70’s) class was a 1964 Ford Falcon owned by Mike Geer

3rd place overall went to Larry and Jeannine Colstrom with their Chevy Pickup

2nd place overall went to Ron Fechter with his 1949 Dodge Wayfarer

1st place overall went to Rosie Solt with her Corvette.

People’s Choice went to Jim and Jeannette Richardson with their 1934 Ford 3 window Coupe

1st cutting board winner was Eric Parks

Traeger Flat Top Kit winner was Eric Parks

$50 Mexican Restaurant gift certificates winner was Eric Parks

Metal Bird Yard Art winner was Julie Hower

$50 Hays House gift card winner was Neter Schamberger

50/50 Raffle winner of $83 was Steve C (that was the name on the ticket).

Thank you all again for helping make this another successful year for our event. We will take the rest of this month off and will start back next month fundraising for next year. The date next year will be October 3rd.

Good evening everyone. I just want to share with all of you the winner of the Henry 22 Military Tribute Rifle. It was picked up today at Down Home Guns. The gentleman that won it is Terry Rhoads from Reading, KS. A picture of him with the rifle is below. Terry is a Veteran. We don’t ask when people buy tickets, but so far each pew pew we have given away has went to a Veteran or a law enforcement person. We think this is pretty cool, since we have no idea. Once again, thank you to everyone that bought tickets the last two years on this Henry 22.

We would like to thank everyone that helped with our dice run today. Whether you helped with the food, ran one of the stations, participated in the run, or whatever you may have done, Thank You! We will take your suggestions with us into consideration for next year. We heard a lot of positive comments about the ride.
Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Again, thank you for helping us give back to our local veteran organizations and honor flights.

Edit: We are not sure about electricity, so if electricity is needed you will need to plan on furnishing your own.

Calling all craft vendors, etc. We will be having our festival on October 4 in Council Grove st the Bolton Soccer Complex. $10 set up fee, you will need to furnish your own tables, tents, etc but you can have as much space as you need. Please let me know if you are interested and I will get you the form to fill out. Thank you, hope to see you there.

We are in the process of changing our name. We will still be a 501c3. Our new name will be Flint Hills Veterans Supporters.

We will be having a soup/chili supper and bake sale on March 22nd from 3pm -7pm (?) at 219 West Main in Council Grove. That is the old The Station building. We will have chili, cowboy stew, green enchilada chicken soup, and maybe some others. Come enjoy some good homemade soup and dessert and buy some desserts to take home with you. This will be a freewill donation supper. We hope to see you there.
