Algood, I want you all to know that any hopes and dream you have for me as your next mayor, I have even bigger hopes and dream for our city! I pray that I serve you all well!

Did you know that as mayor, I will also serve on Algood's Planning Commission?

What Does the Algood Planning Commission Do?

The Algood Planning Commission plays an important role in helping guide the future growth and development of our community.

The Commission reviews proposed subdivisions and certain development plans, helps ensure new development follows the City’s planning and zoning regulations, and makes recommendations regarding land use, growth, infrastructure, and the future development of Algood.

In short, the Planning Commission helps answer an important question:

How do we grow Algood responsibly while protecting the quality of life in our community?

The Planning Commission works within the laws and regulations adopted by the City and State, while the City Council remains responsible for establishing city policy and adopting ordinances.

I look forward to working with our Planning Commission, residents, property owners, and developers to help build a strong future for Algood.

The planning commission is made up of 7 citizens of our city. One seat is held by the mayor, one seat is held by another city councilman, and 5 seats are held by citizens willing to serve Algood!
