Was it his featured performances on the popular Gaither Homecoming Video series? Is it his songwriting that provides material for dozens of award winning Gospel and Country music artists? Could it be his syndicated radio program, Good News Music Radio that is heard weekly around the world? Or, is it the encouragement and hope that he aspires to share with anyone he comes into contact with? A Woody Wright concert event is more than just a guy with a guitar and a briefcase full of songs. WOODY'S FIRST NIGHT MOVING TO NASHVILLE
"My first night as a Nashville resident in 1976, the tracks for this LP were being recorded. Willie had just hired me, and we were at Woodland Sound, the dream studio I had read on album credits for years. To see and hear my Nashville studio heroes recording live was totally overwhelming. Pete Wade, Jack Williams, Shane Keister, Pig Robbins, Bobby Thompson, Weldon Myrick, Charlie McCoy, Buster Phillips and Farrell Morris were the players. It was a dream come true to just be in the room, and I will never forget it! I was the bass player in the Tennesseans band at that moment, but thanks to personnel changes, I was moved up to the front line and sang on the whole album before it was released. My teenaged mind was blown!"
