Thinking about auditioning for SLYC… but feeling a little nervous? 😬💗💚

You are definitely not the only one.

Auditions can feel intimidating, especially when you care about the outcome. But here’s what we want you to know: we are not looking for perfection.

We’re looking for singers who are ready to learn, willing to grow, and excited to make music with others. 🎶

You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t need to know every answer. You just need to show up, be yourself, and let us hear your voice.

So if nerves are the only thing holding you back, take the leap. You might be surprised by what’s waiting on the other side. ✨

Great choirs start with great people. 💗💚

Behind every SLYC rehearsal, performance, breakthrough, belly laugh, and “YES—you finally got it!” is a team of educators who genuinely love what they do.

Our teachers bring incredible musicianship and experience to the podium—but more importantly, they believe in young people. They’re here to challenge our singers, encourage them, help them find confidence in their voices, and create a place where every singer knows they belong. 🎶

As we get ready for another incredible season, we can’t wait to welcome our singers back—and meet the new faces who will become part of the SLYC family this year.

It looks like rehearsals that turn into friendships.
Big performances and little moments.
Trying something new. Taking a risk. Finding confidence.
Working hard, laughing harder, and making some pretty incredible music along the way. 🎶

At SLYC, the concerts are only part of the story. What happens between those performances—the growth, the community, the memories, and the people you meet along the way—is what makes this place special.

🎉 That's a Wrap for SLYC Summer Camp 2026! 💗💚

What. A. Summer.

Over the past two incredible weeks, our amazing counselors, junior counselors, and support staff poured their hearts into so many campers from across Northern Virginia, Maryland,—and even West Virginia! 🤯 Together, we laughed, learned, sang, grew, and discovered what it truly means to .

💚 Through our SLYC Gives Back initiative, campers put our core values into action by Serving our community and Spreading Joy through the Sweet Julia Grace Foundation, donating and assembling Sunshine Boxes to brighten the lives of children facing serious illness.

🦁🦅 Week Two also marked history as our secondary campers competed for the very first SLYC Cup, proudly representing our two permanent houses: Lyric Lions and Forte Falcons. The competition was fierce, the spirit was unmatched, and a new SLYC tradition was born!

🎶 From our youngest singers to our oldest, every camper took the stage with confidence, created unforgettable memories, built lasting friendships, and discovered just how special the SLYC family truly is. We are thrilled that so many new singers have already auditioned and registered to join us for our 2026–2027 season!

To our campers, families, volunteers, staff, and the entire Loudoun community—thank you. Your support is what makes experiences like this possible, and we're incredibly honored that you've once again voted SLYC Best Summer Camp Program in Best of Loudoun! 🏆
