Day 2 at the New Mexico State Fair is celebrating our Fire Fighters and Smokey the Bear with a special tribute for the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

We Remember. We Honor. We Thank. 🇺🇸

Today, we remember the lives lost on 9/11 and honor the heroes who ran toward danger.

To all firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, military members, and first responders: thank you for answering the call and protecting us every day.

We honor the fallen, support their families, and will never forget. 🇺🇸

ONE. MORE. DAY. 🤠🎡
Tomorrow, the gates open and the 2026 New Mexico State Fair officially begins! And if you’re looking for big-time rodeo action and live entertainment, Tingley Coliseum is the place to be.
Tingley is home to some of the fair’s biggest nights, bringing together PRCA rodeo action and live concerts all under one roof. And the first performance kicks things off Friday night, September 11, with PRCA Xtreme Bulls followed by the Turnpike Troubadours!
From the arena to the stage, Tingley is where the fair turns up the energy. So grab your boots, round up your crew, and get ready — the New Mexico State Fair starts TOMORROW!
We’ll see you at the fair! 🎟️🤠

In 2️⃣ days!!! The Junior Livestock Pavilion is open!
This is where you can see New Mexico’s 4-H and FFA members put their hard work on display. Youth exhibitors spend months caring for, feeding, training, and preparing their livestock for the show ring.
You’ll see everything from cattle and sheep to goats, poultry, and other livestock throughout the building. The shows are a great way to see the time and effort these young exhibitors put into their projects and learn more about raising livestock along the way.
The shows are open to the public, so come watch the competition, support the exhibitors, and see youth agriculture in action at the New Mexico State Fair!

Got one more rodeo to fit into the schedule before we start state fair! Thank you so much to the Socorro Rodeo crew for having me out. I was honored to carry the American flag, and I had a great time meeting new faces in the crowd! I was so excited to be with the new 2026-27 Socorro Rodeo Royalty court, who I met and coached at the Rising Royalty clinic a couple weeks ago! It was such a fun night and now Bravo and I gear up for our performances Tingley Coliseum!

Thank you Alyssa Marable for some great photos!

In 5️⃣ days you can step into the famous New Mexico State Fair Red Barn!
Want to experience agriculture up close and personal? Make sure the Red Barn is on your list at the New Mexico State Fair!
The Red Barn gives fairgoers of all ages the chance to get up close with animals you may not get to see every day—including donkeys, goats, sheep, miniature cows, horses, and chickens!
But it’s more than just seeing animals—it’s an opportunity to learn about agriculture from the next generation of agriculturalists. FFA members are there to share their knowledge, answer your questions, and help you understand the important role livestock and agriculture play in our everyday lives.
And while you’re there, don’t forget to vote for your favorite animal! 🗳️🐐 Will you fall in love with a fluffy sheep, a miniature cow, a curious goat, or one of the other barnyard favorites?
📍 Stop by the Red Barn during your next visit to the New Mexico State Fair—you might just leave with a new favorite animal and a greater appreciation for the people who make agriculture possible! ❤️
