"Attitude", the spunky roadrunner found a new home this weekend!🤩

The painting was part of the 37th Annual Juried Old San Ysidro Church Fine Arts Show in Corrales, NM earlier this year.

"Attitude" depicts a punk roadrunner, feathers spiked like a mohawk and attitude dialed all the way up! I often see the road runners on our street and in our garden and I am always facinated and delighted of their fast, fearless and unapologetically rebellious strut 😄🙌 But at the same time, somehow they bring a sense of luck and sunshine☀️🩷

16x20 size and painted with punk and tribal doodle style on hot pink and silver metallic background.

Keep doing your thing little one!☀️

You never know who connects with your art!❤️ This magical moment happened yesterday when I was selling at the Winter Craft Show in Corrales.

The cutest little old lady fell in love with one of my paintings; "Different Worlds, Beating Hearts" from the cat and dragon series. The least expected person to buy that painting, but I am over the moon for the love she showed and the way she was touched by it💖✨️

🎨Art Show Opening – You’re Invited! ☕️✨

I’m so excited to share that my artwork will be on display at Remedy Coffee November 5th- 30th.

I would love for you to come by for the Artist Reception on Sunday, November 9th, 11am-3pm. This show is a collection of pieces that are close to my heart, and getting to show them in such a warm, welcoming space means a lot.

🗓 Artist Reception : Sunday, November 9th, 11am-3pm
📍 Location: Remedy Coffee, 1816 Lomas Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104

Come say hi, grab a drink, and take a look around—I’d love to see you there! 💛

Artist Statement:

I aim to create rich, colorful and timeless art, inspired by my travels, adventures, the nature around me and my passions such as motorcycle riding and scuba diving.

I absolutely love New Mexico, and the New Mexican landscape and wildlife is often prominent in my work. My preferred mediums are oil and acrylic and my love for light and reflection inspires me to incorporate metallic pigmentation in my art. If you can’t see them right now, please use your cellphone flashlight and sweep it over the paintings to see the hidden treasures of metallic details. However, it is not the painting that is changing, but the perspective of the viewer.

This art show, named “Desert Light, Dragon Fire”, is a love letter to light and reflection, but also to the parts of myself I once kept hidden. The nerdy kid who memorized star maps, drew dragons in the margins of math homework, and stayed up late reading science fiction under the covers—that kid is still here, and these pieces are their voice. There are echoes of epic worlds, hints of scales and wings, and portals to imagined galaxies woven through the brush strokes.

It is about duality: earth and fire, sci-fi and observations, harshness and wonder. But most of all, it’s about finding freedom in the things we love and letting them shine—boldly, unapologetically, and in full color. Show your happiness and embrace your inner child.

I hope you enjoy!
