It’s been such a long time since I’ve posted! This piece has been a work in progress for months and months and I’m so excited to share it with you! This 10ft curtain has 9 plant hangers and is dyed with 100% natural dyes! I achieved the blue with indigo, the reads with madder root and onion, the gold with onion and acorns, the tan tones with catalpa seed pods and the grey tones with acorns and iron. Working on this piece was a learning process, soooo much counting and measuring and cutting! the best part is I’m making another one! Plans for this spring include duplicating this beauty, creating a backdrop for my sweet little sisters wedding, and continuing to create for my upcoming art show in May!

Hi there! It’s been a while! August was a wild month in the best way and I’m so excited to bore you with an update! My show at O’niells was incredibly successful! I got wonderful feedback from folks and I sold so many mirrors I had to postpone market dates to resupply! I’m excited to take the proceeds from my show and finally get Gracie Lou back on the road! Lots of van adventures coming in 2023! As far as what I’m working on now I’ve got a huge commission that I’m dyeing ropes for now and holy cow it has been an exciting an exhausting process! I’m working with 5000 yards or cord! Thats nearly three miles! So stay tuned for updates on that process. In the downtime between dye baths I’ve been working to stock up for my next market date, October 29th at the makers market in Silver city! it’s my birthday weekend, and a day at the market sounds like a perfect way to celebrate, so come down Saturday and check out hat hangers like this one, new plant hangers, and even some spooky surprises!
