The Story Show

The Story Show The Story Show is an independent fundraising event for local charities. We bring storytellers to the stage for an evening of comedy and drama.

The Story Show is readings from the stage, with all stories centered on a theme. About 10 people will be reading stories, poems, letters, with each story being 5 to 7 minutes in length. Music will bookend the readings. In all, it'll likely last about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. A list of the story speakers wills be announced before each show and will be an amazing and eclectic group of local people. This is

meant to be a community event in an intimate setting. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under. As this is a story reading, it may not be suitable for very young children. FAQs
What is a Story Show? Let's answer that by first saying what it ISN'T. It is not a theater production or play. There is no acting. It is not a Toastmaster's Club. It is meant to be entertaining, inspiring and funny. It is patterned after mommy blogging shows such as Listen To Your Mother and Moth. The Story Show are community members who've written stories centering on a theme and they will read them aloud to you, the live audience. Think David Sedaris, but more family friendly.
