Hello September! This month is excited to present aka r a b b i t r o a d as the featured artist for the Valle Libre Open Mic The Church Project

Bothe Kretsinger is a resident of Rabbit Road and took up the moniker while living in the city and missing home. He and his wife moved back to the family farm that borders Rabbit Road, a popular party destination for teens and college kids in the 1990's. When Bothe was partying off Rabbit Road in the late 90's he befriended Teo Greer, the singer and guitar player of the stoner rock band Adamz Room, a band he'd heard about since middle school. A few years later they started the band Honor Amongst Thieves together and played together for just over a decade. They parted ways when Bothe and his partner Lares moved to Denver to be closer to his child. Bothe started buying cheap synthesizers and samplers because he'd always liked electronic music. His friend Teo was murdered a few years ago, before he moved back to SLV, the case is unsolved. As he was moving back he started a project to book and promote shows for genres that have a hard time getting booked and promoted here, like the stoner rock he and his friends used to play, and the hardware techno he currently plays. He named this project Haunted Highway, a reference to the song Highway 17 by Teo Greer, a shout out to him and his friend Mathias Fritz and his brother Nate Greer, who all died around the same time. The first event by Haunted Highway was an SLV Punk and Hip Hop Showcase. Currently hosting a yearly noise festival, a monthly dance party at the Church Project and many other events around the San Luis Valley.
