TIGER, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

The American West Enthusiast

I just discovered a late 19th century, early 20th century photographer named Roland W. Reed. Some of these are so good, they look like they are screen shots from a movie. Please click through these and take your time to appreciate them for all they are. If this is the first you're hearing of him, I encourage you to look him up. His stunning work see here covers the Blackfeet, Piegan, and Ojibwe tribes in the early 1900s. It appears his experiences growing up in the 1860s and 70s planted a deep longing for adventure and exploration west. Most of his productive adulthood was spent doing just that. We are lucky he decided to bring his camera.
