Am I posting weddings right now?
Not really. And that’s intentional.

There are so many stories sitting on my camera that deserve to be seen. Not just the big days, but everything in between that makes me fall in love with this work over and over again.

Because I’m not just a wedding photographer.
I’m the one who notices how light hits a building at the right time of day.

The one who stops for flowers growing through concrete.
The one who sees a place and immediately starts imagining what it could feel like in a photo.

Nature, architecture, quiet corners, unexpected moments. That’s all part of how I see your story too.

So yeah, there’s going to be a mix here.
Weddings, adventures, in-between moments, and the kind of frames that feel like you just stumbled into something good.

And honestly, I want more of this.
More places, more movement, more “wait, pull over real quick” energy.

I’m in my “f**k it, we’re doing the thing” era this year…

and for me, that meant finally getting in front of the camera.

Not because it’s comfortable.
Not because I felt ready.

But because I’ve been asking my clients to trust me in moments that feel vulnerable, a little awkward, sometimes even intimidating…

and it didn’t feel right not fully understanding that myself.

So yeah—I did it.
And being on the other side of the camera?
Whole different experience 😅

Way more in your head than you expect… and also weirdly empowering once you let go of it.And the coolest part of this whole thing?

was my photographer for this set 🥹
Using my 5lb camera + lens setup (no joke), actually learning, adjusting, creating—not just pointing and shooting…
and she absolutely crushed it.

Like I’m genuinely so proud of her, and fully voting that she keeps going with this 👏This won’t be the last time you see me in front of the camera either…

because turns out, stepping into the same vulnerability I ask from my clients?
Yeah. That matters more than I thought.

So this happened to me yesterday on the way to an engagement session 😅🤣

Correct location…
wrong side of the river.

And now I cannot unsee that scene from The Mummy every time I think about it.
BUT this is also your reminder that I always build in extra time before every session.

Not usually for “Google Maps took me to the wrong side of the park and now I’m staring across the water at my couple” situations…

…but for real life. Traffic. Parking. Getting lost for a second. Breathing room.

Because the last thing I ever want is to show up rushed, flustered, or off my game for you.

So yes, yesterday I had a small main character moment google mapping to figure out how to get to the correct side 😂

…but by the time I got there?

Calm. Ready. And we still got the dreamiest photos.

Moral of the story:
always trust your photographer… even if she’s briefly on the wrong side of the river.

Tell me I’m not the only one Google Maps has betrayed like this 😭

Snow? Hasn't stopped us in the past! We know there is a winter storm coming our way that have left people asking questions about the show this weekend.

We’re keeping a close eye on the weekend forecast and are actively monitoring local conditions. At this time, the January 24-25, 2026 Wedding Show at the I-X Center is moving forward as scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday!

If anything were to change that impacts show hours or operations, we would share updates right away on our website, social media, and via email.

We recommend allowing extra travel time, checking road conditions before heading out, and dressing warmly. Otherwise, you can plan to attend and enjoy the show as scheduled!
