The Autism Society of Greater Akron (ASGA) is excited to bring back its Step Into Autism Walk for the 12th year! This annual and signature fundraiser helps ensure that ASGA can continue to create connections, empowering everyone in the Autism community with the resources needed to live fully!

This event has become much more than a fundraiser to support our programs and resources. It means a lot to individuals, parents, caregivers, and families affected by autism to have their community say, “I’m here to support you.” Step Into Autism truly is a celebration of the autistic individuals we serve and the heroes within the autism community.

Every step you take gives a voice to every individual living with Autism.
Every dollar you raise fuels our mission to create connections, empowering everyone in the Autism Community with the resources needed to live fully, through advocacy, inclusive community programs and events, social and support groups, and educational webinars and trainings.
Every post you share is a tribute to whomever you are honoring by becoming a Team Captain.

Activities may vary per event and availability, including a Team Photo Area and Quiet Zone. Lunch and snacks available for purchase. CADA will have a table at the resource fair. Come visit us!

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT *** Meet Center for Applied Drama & Autism/Theatre on the Spectrum (CADA), which was founded by Wendy Duke and Laura Valendza in Akron. They created an acting class for autistic and disabled children that has grown into an internationally accessible curriculum "that inspires growth and empowerment of diverse people on the autism spectrum through theatre-based programming." *** CADA's Theatre on the Spectrum troupe of actors are featured on the 5 of Diamonds in our Akron on Deck playing cards set, and are pictured at Schneider Park for the production of Josh Gippin’s THE FORGOTTEN DEAD, a story that "strives to memorialize those who were marginalized in life, and forgotten in death, by challenging us all to rethink our perceptions of the people all around us living today with disabilities." *** Click the link below to learn more about CADA, watch the full production of THE FORGOTTEN DEAD, and sign up for their AWESOME IMPROV classes! http://www.centerforada.com/Theatre-on-the-Spectrum.html ♦️🎭🌈 Akron on Deck still available at www.artxlove.com/shop ! #artxlove #playingcards #supportlocalartists #akron #akronohio #theatrelove #theatre #onthespectrum #akronoh
