The Old Fashioned Hollywood Podcast

“We should do another podcast”, he said in June.
And again in July.
And in August.
In September, we finally did.

The boys who like to drink and talk are back for another round. Scotty and Larry spend their Labor Day discussing their recent adventure filming "The Road to Camp Miracle" in Ohio beside close friends, the differences between rural Ohio and a city like LA, and navigating the film distribution process.

I kept this. I know it’s hokey, but living in LA and pursuing film... that’s not a walk in the park. It’s soul crushing. It really is. Regardless, we hung in there. We’re getting an opportunity this summer to prove we’re capable of big things. Shane will be by my side on our shoot in August. Many of my best friends will, in some capacity. We’re never gonna quit. It’s just not in the cards.

Karen Clark-Green has been on my radar for years, and I've caught glimpses here and there of her stage work. As of yesterday, she has joined the cast of The Road to Camp Miracle and we couldn't be more pleased.

The Adventures of Eddy Spaghetti

Well holy sh*t. I’ll be honest, I (Larry) thought the name “Eddy Spaghetti Productions” was behind me. I thought we’d gotten the mileage we wanted out of it and that it had successfully served as a vehicle for our film The Murders of Brandywine Theater. Well, it turns out we’re gonna keep rolling under the ES banner after all. Everyone asks how I got the name. Well, I have an aunt who is mentally challenged (this sounds mean already, doesn’t it?) and she always struggled to say my name right. It always sounded more like “Eddy” than “Larry”. Our family got a kick out of it, much to her annoyance. In time, my nickname in the family became Eddy, sort of as a joke. Eventually Mom was casually calling me Eduardo and Eddy Spaghetti without even thinking about it. When I formed the LLC, my mother had just been diagnosed with cancer and I named my company out of tribute to her (she passed shortly after). After all, one thing that ties the projects I write together is that I want them all to have that child-like sense of wonder those of us lucky enough to have great childhoods once approached the world with. The name Eddy Spaghetti summed up all of my best memories, and those memories were made possible by our incredible mom. Years later, the Eddy Spaghetti team is attempting big things, folks. We’ve done some pretty exciting projects in the past that I’m damned proud of, but we’re attempting new ones that are far more ambitious and on an entirely different level. It’s going to be an uphill battle. Hell, it already has been... but brick by brick we’re building something special. We’ve got some pretty cool names attached to our future projects already... the kind of names it’s not cool to announce until there’s a green light. Stay with us and thanks for all the support-- past, present, and future. I truly appreciate it. Wish us luck. Eddy
