A NIGHT TO REMEMBER KYLE “ROWDY” BUSCH
The NASCAR community will come together Friday, October 9, at Charlotte Motor Speedway for a special Celebration of Life honoring Kyle Busch and the incredible legacy he left behind.
Following the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Chase race, fans will be invited to gather at the start/finish line for a public memorial celebrating Busch through stories, memories, iconic moments and the impact he made on NASCAR.
Busch’s widow, Samantha, will be part of the ceremony, joined by a remarkable group of NASCAR personalities and drivers, including Joe Gibbs, Christopher Bell, Noah Gragson, Daniel Suárez, Kyle Larson, Austin Dillon and FOX Sports broadcaster Mike Joy.
For fans who knew Busch as “Rowdy,” the evening will be an opportunity to remember far more than the statistics.
Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion.
56 Cup Series victories.
A championship-winning team owner.
A mentor to countless young drivers.
And one of the most unapologetically competitive personalities the sport has ever seen.
Busch’s influence extended well beyond the Cup Series. His former Kyle Busch Motorsports organization helped develop drivers such as Christopher Bell, Noah Gragson and Daniel Suárez, leaving a lasting mark on the next generation of NASCAR talent.
Kyle Larson will also take part in the ceremony, bringing a particularly meaningful connection. Busch famously gave Larson the “Tiny Kyle” nickname, and Larson honored his friend and former rival at Las Vegas with a special Busch tribute paint scheme — even carrying the nickname above the door.
Their memorable 2018 Chicagoland battle, when the two Kyles traded contact on the final lap before Busch captured the victory, remains one of the most unforgettable finishes of the era.
Ten of Busch’s most iconic race cars will be displayed during the Celebration of Life, followed by a drone show and a performance by country music star Cole Swindell.
And fittingly, the NASCAR community will gather at a racetrack.
Because Kyle Busch’s life was always measured in laps, victories, championships, rivalries, comebacks and the relentless pursuit of being first.
On October 9, NASCAR won't simply remember the driver.
It will remember Rowdy.
The Celebration of Life is free for fans to attend at Charlotte Motor Speedway and will also be televised on FS1.
