I’ve lost myself in time lately carving this guy. Started the form in early January and forgot all about it for months while finishing up commissions and working on updating my website. This weekend it was calling me to finish it. Now I need to think of a name and future glazing!

A lovely soul .art posted recently about the . I had never heard of it but instantly knew THIS is my vibe. I love all the pretty and amazing things here but it can feel hollow. Just scrolling along forgetting about the connection piece we find in living life. Forgetting that what we are entertained with here is created by beautiful souls. Forgetting to reach out and talk to one another. Forgetting to look around you and see the birds or the stars when walking to your car. Forgetting to be present.

This is what I’ve been missing. This past holiday season I forgot. This is what I have been leaning into with the art and business of Potted Earth. I create to feel present in the moment and to bring you reminders and rituals through my pieces.

This commission began with a request for a sigil. It started with a statement reminding them what they wanted to strive towards in the upcoming season of their life. I took that statement and created a symbol that embodies the energy and words. This symbol seen here on this incense burner will serve as a reminder every time they use it. A hidden mantra, a silent affirmation, a powerful piece of them to help them grow.

This work is personal and can be healing and supportive. Sigils have helped me over the course of the last year with every choice and step I take. Reminding me I can overcome anything.

I wish you a year of peace and joy. I look forward to sharing more commissions and sigils but be patient…presence will always come before social media.
