Our own Donna Savastio, Artist has a solo show in Newburyport, up for another week, and not to be missed!

Our wish for a white Christmas didn't come true this year, but at least we have the art of Donna Savastio, Artist to tide us over, like this snowy ditych, titled "Winter Nocturne" (Oil on panel, $5700). Only one week left to see this piece and the rest of Donna Savastio's show "In the Woods" - don't miss out! @ Firehouse Center for the Arts

Dear friends,

After three wonderful, creative, and inspiring years, we must announce the upcoming closing of Artists Corner & Gallery. Starting in 2016 with a handful of artists, we have grown to include nearly 60. We’ve had 12 shows, including a very successful benefit show for Habitat for Humanity, as well as many classes and workshops.

In our West Acton neighborhood, we have participated in annual events such as Acton Open Studios, Oktoberfest, the Holiday Stroll, and Farmers Market Sundays.

We are very proud and gratified by the community that we have built together. We are so grateful for your support through the years, and we would never have made it this far without you.

We will be open for the following holiday hours through Monday, December 24:

• Tuesday through Friday, 11 to 6
• Saturday and Sunday, 12 to 5
• Monday, December 24 from 12 to 5 for our final day

We hope you will join us on Friday, January 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. for our Third Anniversary celebration, and help us go out in style!

We had a terrific opening night for our Animals in Art show. Our juror Alice Phalen was there, and all our winners (Diane Maroun, Lyn Slade and Susan Fry). The artwork is extraordinary, and it was a great party! The show runs through Saturday, May 5. Be sure to stop by and see it, and place your vote for People’s Choice, which will be awarded at the close of the show. Thanks to our juror for her time and careful thought in making selections and choosing the winners, to all the artists for supporting our shows, and to everyone who joined us last night! Details and credits in the captions.

Expansive Geometric Drawings Trampled in Snow and Sand by Simon Beck

We are closed today due to the storm ❄️ Meanwhile, here’s some snow art for inspiration... www.thisiscolossal.com/2016/01/simon-beck-snow-art

Driven by super-human forces and undaunted by the powers of nature, artist Simon Beck (previously) trudges across sand or through knee-high snow to create massive geometric drawings left behind in his footprints. From sandy expanses on the shore of New Zealand to frigid outlooks in the Swiss Alps, a
