You Made It Happen
If you listen very carefully …
you might hear a ROAR of JOY echoing through Soledad Canyon! Because of you, we not only made our goal – we surpassed it by over $10,000. It seems like a holiday miracle to us. One that just gets better.
Because you helped create that miracle, our benefactor was so impressed that the decision was made to match every dollar that you gave … which comes to a total of $61,796.03.
So, with all our hearts, we want to say thank you for rescuing us and truly making it possible for the Wild Ones of Shambala to have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We wish the same to you and yours.
One Week to Go!
It’s Thanksgiving week and we at Shambala have some new things to be thankful for … about 36,247 of them – all dollar bills! Thanks to you, we are more than halfway to our goal of $50,000 and we are SO grateful. BUT, there’s only one week to go – in just seven days it will be
November 30th … the day our Matching Grant opportunity ends.
SO, we’re really hoping that some of you who may not have donated yet will take a moment to help that number climb even higher. AND, for those of you who’ve already given … maybe, just maybe you could find a little something extra to send our way in these last few days.
In any case, all of us wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and hope that we’ll be able to welcome you back for a safari early in 2021. AND, we will let you know in the first week of December how we did with the Matching Grant – and, once again, how much we appreciate your loving support for the Wild Ones of Shambala.

Time Is Running Out
Time is running out on our Matching Grant opportunity. It ends on November 30, 2020. http://shambala.org/donate_grant_2020.htm
To all of you who have been so loyal to Shambala, believing in not only what we do, but how we do it:
We are so appreciative of your faithful donations which have allowed us to keep our residents safe, happy, and healthy, as well as continue to improve our efforts to give them the best quality of life possible. Even though you can’t come out to Shambala and see the wild ones during these strange and difficult times, you have stuck with us, and given us encouragement.
Although we wish things were different, at this point we must be realistic and say that all events, including the member’s party, must be put on hold. But, the needs of all of our animals cannot be put on hold. So, please keep checking the website for any changes, enjoying the videos, and most importantly, sending in your donations. If you will do that, we will be able to keep moving forward, anticipating that time when we can once again open the gates and welcome all of you who are so important to our work and the care of these magnificent creatures.

An Important Message From The Roar Foundation
Roar Members and Friends,
These are extraordinary times, and Shambala is no ordinary organization. Our grounds are home to 27 big cats who require daily expert attention. The animals here at the preserve are healthy and well, as are the amazing team of humans who are with them every day, providing the same superior care and enrichment the animals always receive. Critical operations team members are on the grounds now ensuring the well-being of our wild ones, as well as the safety of our facilities, with professionalism, commitment, positivity, and creativity.
With the Preserve being closed as we enter our peak attendance season – a time that is vital to our operational budget – we realize we will have additional challenges to consider.
It is with these uncertainties that we come to you, our closest friends and family, to ask you to consider donating during this unusual time for all of us – but especially for an organization who cannot merely close to the public; we must also continue to maintain our standards of excellence when it comes to the living things in our stewardship. If you can consider a gift of any size, we deeply appreciate your dedication to those in our care – in thick and thin.
http://shambala.org/donate_preserve.htm
Every bit of support helps during this critical time. Thank you for being passionate advocates and for all that you do for the Roar Foundation! We appreciate your friendship, loyalty, and support, and never take it for granted. We hope you and yours are well during this historic – but temporary! – period for humanity.
If you are signed up for any future events you will receive a personal phone call at the appropriate time to be rescheduled.
