We find some interesting things from consignors. Amongst a drawer of sterling service we auctioned inside a big teapot....this sweet little reminder of the past.
The Magic Pan Creperie (See wrapped sugar cube) opened their doors on Newbury St in the 70's, in a time when Boston was still in the dark ages of eateries.....a time before the word "espresso" existed except a few places like The Coffee Connection (There was only one, in Harvard Square)...and a far cry from what it available today....or if you dined in Boston pre 1990.....there wasn't much to choose from.

A local hero of coffee legend is the Chemex coffeemaker.
Made in Chicopee, MA since the mid 20th century, it's design got it a place in the Museum of Modern Art Collection, for its Modernist design.
Last but not least, its all about making the ultimate cup of pour-over coffee.... and you can dive deep on that subject after you pick up one of these, bring it home and let bring on the pour.
