If you are wondering why it has been so quiet over here... In July I got to go on a trip of a lifetime to Kenya. These are some watercolors I painted while I was there. I hope you enjoy!

Next up is a pretty exciting announcement. I have to wait a couple weeks before the reveal but it is going to keep me VERY busy!

I am back with a bang at First Community Bank on Main St. in Abingdon! Go Abingdon Falcons!

It was a blast working across the street from a fellow artist, Heidi Nisbett. We got a moment to chat about murals and the install of her work on the Zephyr Antiques building. All of it was painted in her studio on special cloth then glued to the wall like wallpaper. It looks great. She will be touching up seams and other scuffed spots over the next couple days.

Zephyr Antiques has it's name back up in the window!

Thanks so much for supporting the handmade artistic trades. Very fitting for the location. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the owner Tim while I painted. I sincerely hope this gets feet back in the door for you!

Finally stopped to get photos of my wolf in the wild! It looks even better coated in a high sheen top coat!

This week I helped over 100 students (k-12) build and paint set pieces using cardboard and paint. The songs performed included: "On Broadway" from Smokey Joe's Cafe, "9 to 5" from 9 to 5, "Alone in the Universe' from Seussical the Musical, "No Day but Today" from RENT, and "You Can't Stop the Beat" from Hairspray. A few projects are not pictured here as they were onstage and they were rehearsing when I found time to document some of these. Congrats to these kids for experiencing all facets of live theatre over the past week!
