Your VPN might be lying to you, here's how to find out in 5 seconds
If you use a VPN to stay private online, there's a simple test you should run.

Many VPN users, even with paid, premium services unknowingly have their real IP address exposed through a flaw called a WebRTC leak. It's built into most browsers and can bypass the VPN tunnel entirely.

I made a free tool to check this instantly: ismyvpnworking.app

Open the link while your VPN is on. It automatically checks:
✓ Whether your IP is really hidden
✓ Whether your DNS is leaking to your ISP
✓ Whether WebRTC is exposing your real location

No download, no sign-up. Results in under 10 seconds.

Share this with anyone who uses a VPN, most people have no idea this is even possible.

Free tool: check if your VPN has a DNS leak (the most overlooked VPN problem)
DNS leaks are the most common way a VPN fails silently, and most people have never heard of them.

Here's what happens: even with a VPN connected, your browser still needs to look up domain names (like converting "google.com" to an IP address). If your VPN doesn't handle DNS correctly, those lookups go straight to your ISP's servers — outside the encrypted tunnel. That means your ISP can see every site you visit, even though your IP looks hidden.

A few months ago I built a free tool that checks for this: ismyvpnworking.app

It also checks for WebRTC leaks and verifies your IP is actually masked. Completely free, no signup, instant results.

If you use a VPN for privacy, it's worth running this check at least once. Tag someone who uses a VPN they might want to know too.

Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.

Is your VPN actually working? Most people don't know how to check
Quick question for this group, how many of you actually verify that your VPN is doing its job, or do you just trust the "connected" indicator in the app?

I ask because I recently learned that a VPN showing as connected can still be leaking your real IP address through something called a WebRTC leak, it's a browser-level vulnerability, not a VPN failure exactly, but it means sites can still see who you really are.

I built a free tool that checks this automatically: ismyvpnworking.app

Takes about 5 seconds. No account needed, nothing installed. It checks your IP, DNS, and WebRTC all at once and tells you in plain English whether you're protected or leaking.

Would love to know what results you get, especially if you're using a paid VPN you trust. Some results might surprise you.
