*John 15:16 "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." (KJV)*
_To understand destiny(Events that must happen to an individual) one must know there are two kinds of destinies. Firstly, the kind of destiny that a man chooses. Secondly, the kind of destiny that chooses a man._
From the verse above, clearly Jesus is telling us he chose us and we did not choose him. This kind of destiny requires that one realizes it's not about them. Often time those who fail, give up or fail to understand their purpose have chosen their destiny rather than their destiny choosing them.
*We serve God by reason of his grace towards us that while we were yet sinners Christ died for the ungodly.*
_Why does Jesus emphasize that he chose us? The reason is because a destiny which chooses you comes also with the grace sufficient for you to execute it, but a destiny which you choose, you have to sustain._
