Often in the face of the law, the poor suffer while the rich continue to be at large.

This image shows you demolishion a chapati stall and Airtel money stalls placed in corridors rightly intended to clear service lanes.

But right Infront of the stalls is an illegal construction of a stair case by Centenary bank which was made around 2019 closing the service lane that runs from Oumo Road, across Ngora road upto market street.

No one will tamper with them.

Also in the third frame, an MTN stalls lies demolished while the owner stays stranded. But right there is a black gate constructed to close a service lane to create parking space for an illegal Hotel facility. I say illegal because it was not initially supposed to be a hotel.

Again, no one will demolish that gate, but the poor man's container will he demolished immediately.

Matters worse, the Permanent Secretary has made the directive at a time the incumbent politicians who have lost elections are demoralised and those who have been newly elected cannot say anything because they have not yet been sworn in.

The voters are left between a rock and a hard place.
