- Meet Jeremiah Lwebuga!
In 2018, Jeremiah joined a great team of people at Uganda as the Country Director. Jeremiah is responsible for the overall strategic leadership and direction of the company’s brand in Uganda to achieve its objectives. Jeremiah is charged with developing the company’s service offerings, and managing every aspect of their launch, including generating and maintaining new commercial partnerships in the market. Jeremiah also works with local and global markets to ensure growth of their investments and driving the market strategy, sales strategy, while also working closely with HR and Accounting teams.
ARED is a multi-national company that provides last-mile digital payments and connectivity services at the base of the pyramid, using its integrated platform and one-stop shop solar-kiosks, while operating a gender-inclusive business model. The company has offices in Uganda, Rwanda and has entered the Ivory Coast this year.
Jeremiah previously worked as the Head of Projects and Business Development at Frontiers Impact. The company focuses on integration of innovative solutions in different developing countries i.e. banking, insurance, fintech, etc. While there, he was responsible for leading commercial business development and supporting enterprise efforts. This entailed planning, developing and implementing the organization’s business strategy and ensuring maximized revenue growth through supporting development and management of robust services. Jeremiah got to know about Staffable through Aireen Katongole, the former Director of Talent & Recruitment at Staffable. Jeremiah has enjoyed the role with ARED because it has given him a chance to come up with creative ideas, build the capability to launch and scale the product and ultimately develop a whole new business line from scratch. Jeremiah believes that his role as Country Director has helped him develop both personally and career-wise. His advice to job seekers is to understand the core of their passion and also not to be afraid of new ideas and job experiences. Also, he encourages job seekers to be confident and believe in themselves!
