NUFA Awards 2026

NUFA Awards 2026 Northern Uganda Films Awards , is a maiden Film Award in the Northern region curated by Northern Uganda Filmmakers Association (NUFA).

The Northern Uganda Film Awards (NUFA Awards) is a regional film recognition platform established in 2024 to celebrate and promote filmmaking talent from Northern Uganda. Organized by the Northern Uganda Filmmakers’ Association (NUFA), the awards aim to empower both emerging and established filmmakers by providing visibility, recognition, and opportunities to showcase their stories locally and int

ernationally. NUFA serves as a transformative space for creative expression, cultural preservation, and storytelling that drives social and economic development. The inaugural NUFA Awards Gala, held in Gulu in April 2025, brought together filmmakers, dignitaries, and partners from across the sub-regions of Acholi, Lango, Karamoja, and West Nile. Built on the principle of “filmmakers for filmmakers,” NUFA continues to strengthen the region’s creative ecosystem, positioning Northern Uganda as a vibrant hub for film, culture, and innovation.
