It's been some time, wishing y'all a wonderfully magical and astonishingly astounding New Year, been wonderfully busy and we are back to the News you can abuse

The weather is pure summer this moment, hot, humid, low on wind, kinda like a super model. The rocks are out as the sand has retreated and the time of the sea grass is upon us currently, as it happens every summer. However, so far it is rather gentle I have to say. Not that high and no smell so far

On other news some of our rooms are finally reopened, tres chic, with the rest being completed ready for the next season. All brand new

We got some wonderful cream cheese in, so come over from tomorrow for some yummy Lime Cheese Cake, and speaking of tomorrow, we'll have our Crazy Monday going down, finishing it off with DJ Kant. He is from Denmark, NOT England, where the somewhat confusing name has an entirely different meaning

And the latest update from our little slice of Paradise

Loads of folks are still asking all over the inter web about the rains currently in Zanzibar. And I was wondering why, because down here in the South it is sun and fun, and no drop of water from the heavenly skies

And then we went to town yesterday!

Good Lord Almighty, a classical tropical downpour out of the movies. And lasted for about an hour, after which all went back to normal. Am not sure about the North, but it seems the Gods of Water from the Skies chose only Stone Town as their object on the island. They work in mysterious ways indeed

Anyway, all pumped up for tomorrow's final, and as we say ... There will be Blood! 2 magnificent teams and the one thing the wonderful Japanese team can take home if Messi makes it, is they actually beat the World Champion. Not bad!

So wish y'all a wonderfully tranquil weekend, which we shall push until Tuesday in our wonderfully wack tradition

And remember, you are only young once ... but you can be immature forever!

Welcome to Coral Rocks News, welcome to Crazy Monday, the day we are still confused about if we keep the weekend going or start the week in the most magnificent style

This seems to have been the shortest short rainy season so far. Usually we expect 2 weeks, this was barely 2 days. The sun is out, the ocean is gorgeous, and the Tequila's in the freezer. All ready for the Night

On the menu we got some Tex Mex Chilli Fries, topped with Jalapenos and our spicy Beef Chilli'n Cheese, of course, our legendary Barbecued Pork Ribs with some excellent Corn on the Cob, which took quite some time to produce but our one and only farmer Shija finally succeeded, then the always , for whatever reason, popular Beef Stroganoff, which some folks just don't seem to get enough off, and on the Ocean side we got in some nice Barracuda, Lobsters and Jumbo Prawns, which is clearly one of the favourites of our little raving Gourmet Jassy

We start tonight with our wonderful live Jam Session from 9, then from midnight DJ Kassim and DJ Lee aka Mule Mule will take over for another sensationally sensual night under the tropical sky

Crazy Monday moments at Coral Rocks

And after 2 days of rainy season we are back to sun, sun and so much fun

We are in the middle of preparing all for tonight's madness for once again it is .... Crazy Monday!

Live music starting at 9pm then followed by our DJ's from midnight until 4am

Entrance is 15.000 TZS, which keeps all our entertainment folks entertaining you

On our Menu for the Week you'll find the quintessential Zanzibari Street Food Urojo, which is as addictive as our turquoise ocean, then our hand knitted Tagliatelle in a luscious Lobster Cream, the by now Legendary Pork Ribs which we first drench in Jack Daniels and then slowly barbecue until they turn into their melt in your mouth goodness gracious me, and we serve them with some serious Corn on the Cob. And I do mean ... Serious!

For Dessert we got Pineapple Strudel on a Cream made from Vanilla from Pemba and our Coconut Tart with Salted Caramel Ice Cream from Axel. The bomb!

So I shall go now, put on my Monday's best with my shiny red shoes, which I will use to click my heels 3 times at 5am to ... oh please take me home

Welcome to the Coral Rocks News

Where we keep you updated about the general state of current affairs. To our knowledge nobody is having any current affairs. Yet

So let's get back to the weather. Clearly the short rainy season, or as we call it here, Mvua Mfupi, has arrived yesterday. We find this an important issue to report on, due to the constant inquiries, mainly from folks living in the far northern hemisphere, who spend their lives with a kind of uncomfortable and hostile rain that wants to rip off your face, unlike it's tropical cousin here, who is just adding more fun while running in circles cross the ocean. It is very understandable so if you come from a place where your rain resembles a steam cleaner and not some upgrade to a hotel room called Rain Shower Head

Well, let Jazzy tell you what she thinks of the current situation

Then we are showing the World Cup on a big screen once the sun goes down as the projector likes working in the dark. I tried screaming at it, doesn't matter

And we are getting ready for tomorrow, when we are changing our menu for the week, and just go ... Crazy. Cos ... Monday

Once upon a time ...
.. there was a young, handsome Prince riding majestically along the crystal clear pristine beach on his wonderfully white Stallion, looking with his magnificent dark deep blue eyes for an unsuspecting sleeping beauty, as all of a sudden a big shark jumped out of the ocean and ate him. The End

And we are back again with News you can use

This weeks menu features our beloved and legendary barbecued Pork Ribs, which we generously drench in Jack Daniels before setting them on fire, as well as a proper Rib Eye Steak, which comes at a price but is the real deal

Then I added some educational material about Owls, because let's be honest, Owls rock, plus one can never know enough about them

The weather is absolutely gorgeous, as is the ocean in it's multi coloured Turquoise , and the rocks are coming out more and more, with the sand retreading slow but steady as we prepare ourselves for the Christmas season here on this magical spot of our planet

So all is well and let's see what madness gonna happen this Crazy Monday

Oh, almost forgot, this coming Saturday we are having the fantastic Upendo Festival happening at our Hi Beach Club, bringing you some serious entertainment all put together by our islands Grand Master Flash of enjoyment, the one and only DJ Kassim. Remember, it's cool with a pool!

The weather is spectacular, the ocean crystal clear, but we all find ourselves looking out towards the horizon and wondering .... where the f..k does the sand go?!

I mean, it's been here since April, didn't seem to complain, and all was well, or so we thought, but now all of a sudden it just ... goes

Just like every year

It is simply nature at its best, preparing itself for the onslaught of the foreign travelers descending soon upon our beaches, hence replacing the uncomfortable sand with the much more comfy, sponge and cushion like sea grass. I have added an inspirational picture for any aspiring lagoon sniper, as I believe it would be the perfect material for the perfect Ghillie Suit
