​The Hand Pose (Respect): Just like the Mona Lisa, the crossed hands represent deep serenity. In Maasai culture, this symbolizes "Enyanyit" (Respect)—an authoritative humility and the quiet strength of a self-assured woman.
​Closed Eyes & Subtle Smile: Unlike the original Mona Lisa who gazes directly at the viewer, Maalisa’s eyes are closed in peaceful inner reflection. Her gentle smile radiates joy and spiritual fulfillment ("Enchipai").
