Alhamdulillāh, our online Qur’an and Islamic programmes are reaching many people. But we believe the time has come to work towards having a physical place where Muslims can come together, learn, pray, receive support and build community.

Our previous physical location had children, youth and adults benefiting every day. We saw firsthand what a local place of Qur’an, Islamic learning, community support and daʿwah can do.

Now we want to find the right location in the areas where the need and potential benefit are greatest — serving Muslims, families, youth and also reaching those who have not yet found their way to Islam.

We don't need everything figured out today. We need sincere people willing to step forward and help make the next step possible.

As part of the ongoing organisational review, IMCS is currently undertaking urgent consultation regarding governance, compliance, continuity, and future organisational planning.

Community members, volunteers, advisors, professionals, and individuals with experience in governance, legal, administrative, accounting, compliance, or non-profit organisational matters who may be willing to assist are invited to contact IMCS privately as soon as possible.

We are also continuing to receive:

• Recommendations
• Proposals
• Expressions of interest
• Volunteer assistance
• Governance and organisational support

The objective remains to ensure the continued stability, compliance, effectiveness, and long-term sustainability of IMCS and its educational and community programs.

Following the recent notice regarding the proposed IMCS Special Organisational Meeting, we are now inviting written submissions, recommendations, nominations, and expressions of interest from those wishing to assist with the continued development and governance of the organisation.

Areas currently under review include:

• Governance and organisational structure
• Constitution and bylaws
• Directorships, appointments, nominations, and succession planning
• Financial and administrative compliance
• Educational programs and community initiatives
• Volunteer development and community participation
• Long-term sustainability and organisational continuity

Given the importance of maintaining continuity and compliance, these matters are being treated as a priority.

Anyone wishing to contribute suggestions, proposals, concerns, recommendations, or expressions of willingness to assist is invited to submit them privately as soon as possible.

A formal update regarding the next stage of the process, including meeting arrangements and proposed agenda items, will be circulated shortly.

📢 IMPORTANT NOTICE – IMCS ORGANISATIONAL REVIEW & SPECIAL MEETING

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh,

In order to strengthen the Islamic Multi Cultural Society (IMCS), safeguard its future, and ensure that all governance, operational, and community matters are properly aligned, IMCS intends to convene a Special Organisational Meeting at the earliest suitable opportunity.

The purpose of this meeting will include, among other matters:

• Review of organisational structure and governance
• Review of the constitution, bylaws, policies, and procedures
• Clarification of roles, responsibilities, and reporting structures
• Review of directorships, board composition, nominations, and elections where applicable
• Financial, administrative, and compliance matters
• Protection and continuity of ongoing educational and community programs
• Strategic planning for future growth and development
• Community engagement, partnerships, and cooperation
• Consideration of proposals and recommendations for organisational improvement

To facilitate broad participation, attendance options may include both in-person and online participation (Zoom or similar platform), subject to final arrangements and consultation.

All stakeholders, contributors, volunteers, directors, advisors, and interested community members are encouraged to approach this process with sincerity, professionalism, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to serving Islam and the wider community.
