šŸ‡¹šŸ‡¹ A closer look at the new Magnificent Seven.

There are so many little details in this piece - you really have to stop and take it all in.

Have a look through and tell me what you notice first.

The piece is available now through my online store and at my gallery/studio at .

If you’re in Trinidad, come see it in person. It’s even better when you can get right up close.

The Magnificent Seven in colour.

For the first time, you can finally see the whole thing online.

Last year, I released a limited edition of 100 prints of my black-and-white ink drawing of the Magnificent Seven - they sold out!

Since then, I’ve had so many people ask me when I was going to do another one.

I always knew I wanted to come back to them, but I didn’t want to just make another version of the same piece. I wanted to do something completely different.

This time, I wanted colour.

So about six months ago, I started working on this one.

For the last six months I’ve been setting aside a bit of time almost every day to work on it. Some days I made good progress. Other days I spent an unreasonable amount of time on one tiny detail that most people will probably never notice šŸ˜…

But I really wanted to take my time with it and get it right.

The Magnificent Seven are buildings I’ve known my whole life, and I think that’s probably true for a lot of Trinis.

It was really fun getting to interpret them again, this time in a completely different way.

And now, six months later, it’s finally finished.

We gave everyone who came into the gallery on Saturday the first chance to see it in person, and today is the first day I’m sharing the full piece online.

You can find it now in the online store, or come into Nicholas Huggins Gallery & Studio to see it in person.

If you’re in Trinidad, I really do recommend coming to see it at the gallery. There’s so much detail in this one, and the colours and scale are just much easier to appreciate when you’re standing in front of it.

If you’re interested in one or you have any questions, feel free to send me a DM.

And now that you can finally see the whole thing, I really want to know what you think.

Let me know in the comments. What’s the first thing your eye goes to? šŸ‘‡šŸ½

The new Magnificent Seven is up on the wall.

And if you want to see the whole thing, you’ll have to come by the gallery. šŸ‘€

I’m keeping the full piece off Instagram for a little while because this one deserves to be seen in person.

And today is the day.

I’m at the gallery from 10AM–3PM, celebrating a year and a half since we opened, with coffee, music, lots of art to look at … and the first chance to see the new Magnificent Seven piece in full.

There’s nothing formal about today.

Come as you are. Bring a friend, your partner, the family, or whoever you’re trying to figure out Saturday plans with.

Have a coffee. Walk around. See the piece. Come tell me what you think.

I’ll be here all day.

If you’ve been waiting for another Magnificent Seven piece, this is for you…

The last one I did was completely black and white, and it sold out completely (thank you).

I’ve known for a while that I wanted to revisit the project in colour, and I spent six months finishing it.

The finished piece is up in the gallery for the first time and, for now, I’m deliberately keeping the full reveal offline.

Because as much as I love sharing my work on Instagram, art is just better in person.

So if you want to see the whole piece before it goes online, and see for yourself how it’s way better in person, come by tomorrow (Saturday).

We’re also celebrating a year and a half of Nicholas Huggins Gallery & Studio, so there’ll be coffee, music, plenty of art to look at, and I’ll be there all day.

I’ve been working on something new for the last six months, and it’s finally finished.

But I’m not showing it to you online yet. šŸ‘€

No reveal. No Instagram post. For now, if you want to see it, you have to see it here in the gallery!

And this Saturday is the day to come!

It’s been a year and a half since I opened Nicholas Huggins Gallery & Studio, so we’re making a day of it at the gallery from 10am to 3pm. ā˜•ļø

So if you haven’t made Saturday plans yet, make this one of them.

Come see the gallery, have a coffee, see the new piece before the internet does, and celebrate a year and a half with us. 🄳

Saturday, August 22nd. 10am–3pm. 12 Mucurapo Road.

Send this to whoever you’re coming with … and I’ll see you Saturday. šŸ˜Ž

šŸ‡¹šŸ‡¹A year and a half ago, I opened the doors to my gallery.

To celebrate, I’m releasing a brand-new piece that I’ve been working on for the last six months!

Normally, you’d be able to see a new release online right away.

This time, I’m keeping it exclusively in the gallery for its first week.

So if you’d like to be one of the first to see it, come visit us between now and Saturday.

And as a little anniversary thank-you, anyone who purchases the new piece this week will also receive a special surprise!

A lot of the houses that I draw and paint are from photos that I take while driving around. Normally I go on Sundays when the roads are less busy and I’m able to easily pull to the side and snap a few photos. I still try to do as much on-site drawing, but a lot of times it’s difficult with my work schedule, so photo references work well.

I finished this painting yesterday and it’s currently available at Nicholas Huggins | Gallery , or you can just send me a DM if you’re interested in buying it. It’s 8x8 inches, ink and watercolour on paper.

The second image is the photo that I took to use for reference.

Three new ink and watercolour pieces. They found homes before I had the chance to share them here.

I’m genuinely grateful for that, and also a little sorry to everyone who’s told me they missed the last ones. By the time new work reaches this feed, it’s often already spoken for.

So I want to make it easier to catch them in time.

If there’s a piece you’ve been waiting for, join Huggins Studio Updates, my broadcast channel, linked in my bio. It’s where I share new work first, so you get to see it while it’s still available rather than hearing about it after.

I’m also thinking about starting a small WhatsApp group for collectors, somewhere the first look lands the moment a piece is ready. If that’s something you’d want, keep an eye on the channel and I’ll share more soon.

Thanks again to everyone who has been collecting and supporting my work, it means the world to me.
