SubOrient Productions sind Ipek Ipekcioglu, Jamila Al-Yousef und Begüm Karahan. Das Berlin-based Kolektif versteht sich als transkulturelle Kreativschmiede mit hohem Diversitätsanspruch in den unterschiedlichen künstlerischen Disziplinen. Als Undergroundbewegung ist ihr Ziel fernab des Mainstreams, Kulturschaffenden ein Freiraum zu ermöglichen, um sich unabhängig mit sozio-politischen Themen auseinandersetzen zu können. Gegenüber dem bisher dominierenden Kanon türkischer, arabischer, kurdischer, armenischer und iranischer Kultur, finden Darstellungen subversiver Kunst und Kultur aus ihrer Perspektive noch zu wenig Beachtung.

SubOrient Productions Ipek Ipekçioglu, Jamila Al-Yousef ve Begüm Karahan tarafından kurulmuştur. Berlin merkezli kollektif Almanya'da yeterli temsil edilemeyen Ortadoğu'nun kültürel seslerine odaklanarak transkulturel sanat üretiminde olan farklı sanat disiplinlerindeki çeşitliliğe dikkat çekmekte ve alt-kültür hareketinin kültür yaratıcıları ve çalışanlarına sosyo-kültürel konularla tartışma alanı yaratmaktadır.
