RHYTHM EVERYWHERE with HERMAN ARTUÇ
Musician, educator and independent rhythm researcher Herman Artuç organizes rhythm workshops with groups of different ages and disciplines, traditional percussion instruments and rhythmic-melodic instruments he upcycles from waste, and music and rhythm performances with musicians he collaborates with within the scope of the project.
Within the scope of the project, Herman Artuç hosts musicians and people from different professional groups in his conversation, performance, beginner and advanced level instrument training videos published on his YouTube video channel.
Herman Artuç, who deals with concepts such as the protection of abstract and concrete historical heritage, the use of natural resources for today's needs and their transfer to new generations, upcycling of waste, the do-it-yourself movement, the maker movement, repair, re-evaluation, renewable energies, circular economy, zero waste, phenology, ecology, environment, music, creativity, solution-producing culture and art etc. through the concept of 'rhythm' as a subject of music and different disciplines, uses the rhythmic perspective and language he developed with a holistic approach, which is formed by orders, patterns, cycles, repetitions, disruptions and irregularities in music and daily life.
