they said , "you're too good for me" like it was some kind of gift
like leaving you was a way to lift
you higher
like goodbye was protection , not rejection
but tell me ,
how does love walk away and call it affection ?
they said "you deserve better.." but all you wanted was them .not perfect , not more just real just them...
you didn't ask for someone stronger ,richer ,wiser..
you just asked for someone who wouldn't leave .
but they called it kindness .
to break your heart in silence .
to walk away while painting you gold .
as if that made the story less cold
Truth is, sometimes"you're too good " really means "i'm not ready to be good to you"
and instead of staying and rising...
they run
while you're left with the weight of what you didn't do wrong....
