Three months ago, the Caravan set out from eastern Türkiye. This week it reached , the last leg.

More than six thousand kilometres. 7 countries. Photographs from the road.

It started in Erzurum, launching a transcontinental journey through countries from the steppes of Anatolia to the grasslands of Mongolia. With herders taking their animals up to summer pasture in the Turkish highlands. It ends with herders moving across the Mongolian steppe. Same work, more than six thousand kilometres apart.

The people in these pictures came from all over the world to make that journey together.

COP17 opens in Ulaanbaatar on 17 August.
