Dans la perspective de l'ouverture en septembre 2024 d'une école française à Chiang Maï, et pour faire le point sur l’avancement du projet présenté à la communauté française le 7 juillet 2023 , Mme Magosha FREQUELIN, attachée de coopération pour le Français, tiendra, ensemble avec Mme Marie NICOU, cheffe de projet, une réunion d'information publique le 27 mars 2024 afin de répondre aux questions des personnes intéressées par ce projet. Cette école a vocation à rejoindre le réseau de l’AEFE.

La réunion se tiendra dans la salle de projection de l'Alliance Française de Chiang Maï, de 14h00 à 15h00. N’hésitez pas à en parler autour de vous à des personnes qui pourraient être intéressées.

Lindsay first arrived in Chiang Mai 15 years ago for what was supposed to be a few days break from the road, but somehow ended up staying longer. He left, but also left his heart behind in Chiang Mai, and had to go back and retrieve it, but as it was stuck here, so was he.

Nicole was lead to Magic Chiang Mai through a friend, and her photographic curiosity in the region. She had never lived afar from the sea before, however Hill Tribes fascinated her and in 2012 her curiosity lead her to explore. She was working in photography and journalism, and based in Byron Bay, Australia. Amazingly, only after 2 weeks She felt like this was her second home which over the next 7 years became her first.

"I made the leap to live in Chiang Mai at the beginning of 2016, it was scary, however I was at the time working Freelance as a photographer and writer for a magazine based in Singapore interviewing artists in Chiang Mai and Myanmar. It was so interesting that the artists here strove to practise Buddhism through their art. No drugs or w**d just the purity of Buddhism. I'd had a bad experience in Australia interviewing an artist who'd smoked alot before the interview and had said things he perhaps shouldn't have. Then he became paranoid, such a different experience in sweet Chiang Mai. I was fed up with Western ways so despite health issues I jumped off the cliff and here I am continuing to explore Chiang Mai and the North, heal my body and attempt to achieve some necessary work/lifestyle balance. I love to travel and take photographs, so have been able to travel to Vietnam and have spent time in Myanmar. My curiosity always gets the better of me and when I travel I like to get to know locals, their lifestyle, culture, thoughts and ways of life. I really am like a child when I photograph, the world takes on a magic that exists but that we are so frequently closed down to. I am grateful to be here with such lovely people both expats and locals. In a world full of darkness right now, Chiang Mai has a sweet and tender light all of it's own!" - Nicole

A travel journalist, Brad lives in Chiang Mai with his wife, three cats and two dogs. He has been traveling and living in the Kingdom of Smiles for the last 9 years and has sincerely and passionately cherished the unique spirit of Thailand through his writings and photographs. After a few years spent down South, he finally chose Chiang Mai as his home, after being seduced by its fragrant mildness, its cultural bountifulness, and by the never-ending string of little wonders he bumps into at every step of his travels.

Miss Bond first came to Magic Chiang Mai (MCM) in 2016 because she kept hearing it was an amazing place to work and live. The city continuously surprises her with its community support and its beautiful surroundings. She loves living here and plans to have it as a homebase for the foreseeable future.

Her first long stay in Chiang Mai (CM) dates back in 2006; she had originally planed to stay for 2 weeks, then ended up staying for 2 YEARS !!! Since then she has travelled back and forth between the modern societies and the Magic Chiang Mai (MCM) community. Then her last stay in CM has been a 6 full years stretch, building the Qi Gong community as activities of Thai Qi Holistics. CM has always been a place where she has met people on the same soul level connection & wavelenghts than herself, people whose influences always stayed with her even after she moved to France in Brittany.

Bard came to Chiang Mai because of a suggestion by his spirit guides. He had never heeded such advice, but this did not stop both him and his (former) wife from dismantling their American existence, saying their goodbyes to friends and family (and pets!), and taking a great leap of faith halfway across the world. This leap would be the first step towards embodying his New Paradigm, wherein he would truly commit to his self-realization, so much so that he would even give himself the name Svarupa, which translates to “true nature.” A Leo sun sign, his primary vehicle for bringing forth and honoring himself is the creative process, which allows him to express life’s greatest mysteries as they arise during his spiritual practice and shadow work. Speaking of shadow, Bard has come to know his shadow so well (yes, there’s plenty more to go!) that from it he has begun to extract his Light – Woohoo! See the celebration of this victory in all the colors that adorn him! Hear it in the laughter that trumpets from his heart! Taste it in the - well...maybe not that one. Anyhow!
