#ประวัติความเป็นมา:
วัดผาลาด พิกัดลับบนดอยสุเทพ สงบ ร่มรื่น ชุ่มชื่นหัวใจ
วัดผาลาด (Wat Pha Lat) วัดเล็กๆที่ซ่อนตัวอยู่บนดอยสุเทพ หนึ่งในวัดคู่บ้านคู่เมืองเชียงใหม่ที่มีประวัติศาสตร์ยาวนาน
เที่ยวเชียงใหม่ คงไม่มีใครไม่รู้จักดอยสุเทพ ดอยที่ตั้งของพระธาตุดอยสุเทพ วัดคู่บ้านคู่เมืองของเมืองเชียงใหม่ แต่! แต่! แต่! เพื่อน ๆ รู้ไหมว่าระหว่างทางขึ้นดอยสุเทพนั้น มีวัดที่สวยท่ามกลางธรรมชาติ มีน้ำตกในวัด และสงบมาก ๆ ซ่อนตัวอยู่ วัดที่ว่านี้ก็คือวัดผาลาดนั่นเอง
#ความเป็นมา
วัดผาลาด (สกทาคามี) วัดเล็กๆที่มีอายุกว่า 600 ปี ตั้งอยู่เชิงดอยสุเทพ ต.สุเทพ อ.เมือง จ.เชียงใหม่ ในสมัยพระเจ้ากือนา ครั้งพระองค์อัญเชิญพระบรมสารีริกธาตุที่พระสุมณเถระนำมาจากสุโขทัย โดยประทับบนหลังช้าง เพื่อนำไปประดิษฐานที่วัดพระธาตุดอยสุเทพ ทรงแวะวัดผาลาดเพื่อทรงพัก ก่อนขึ้นพระธาตุดอยสุเทพ เพราะเส้นทางลาดชันมาก แต่เป็นเส้นทางแสวงบุญเสมอมา เป็นการก่อสร้างเพื่อพักระหว่างเดินทางสมัยโบราณ
#วิหารพระพุทธบาทศรีวิชัยโภคา
สำหรับใครที่เคยไปเที่ยววัดพระธาติดอยสุเทพ จะเห็นวิหารสีขาวของวัดผาลาด เป็นทางลาดลงไปอยู่ฝั่งซ้ายมือ ก่อนถึงพระธาตุดอยสุเทพราว 6 กิโลเมตร แต่ก็อาจไม่แน่ใจว่าจะคุ้มค่าที่เสียเวลาแวะมั๊ยนะคุ้มมากกกก ใครได้มาเป็นต้องหลงเสน่ห์วัดนี้อย่างแน่นอน ทั้งความงามของธรรมชาติ ประวัติศาสตร์ และความขลังของสถานที่
#พระพุทธเมตตาผาลาด
ในวิหารพระพุทธบาทศรีวิชัยโภคา มีพระพุทธเมตตาผาลาดประดิษฐานอยู่ วิหารนี้สร้างขึ้นเพื่อเป็นอนุสรณ์สถานการณ์สร้างถนนของครูบาศรีวิชัย เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2477 อย่าลืมแวะจอดรถสักการะเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลก่อนเข้าไปด้านในตัววัดด้วยนะคะ
#นรสิงห์ทรงพม่า
เมื่อขับรถลงมาตามทางลาดจะพบกับนรสิงห์ทรงพม่า ตัวโตที่ตั้งเด่นเป็นสง่าเฝ้าปากทางเข้าวัด เพื่อให้นรสิงห์คอยอารักขาศาสนสถานคนโบราณสร้างนรสิงห์เอาไว้อารักขาศาสนสถาน เพราะกลัวอมนุษย์จะมาทำลายนั่นเอง
#บริเวณลานกว้าง
บริเวณนี้เป็นลานกว้างได้ร่มไม้หนาทึบปกคลุม ทำให้สัมผัสได้ถึงความสงบ และอากาศเย็นสบาย ที่นี่ยังเป็นสถานที่สำหรับพุทธศานิกชนและบุคคลทั่วไปที่มีความสนใจในการฝึกนั่งสมาธิ และปฏิบัติธรรมกันอีกด้วย
ก่อนเข้าวัดอย่าลืมแต่งกายให้สุภาพ งดเสื้อสายเดี่ยว กางเกงขาสั้น ส่วนเรื่องรองเท้าควรเป็นรองเท้าผ้าใบ หรือรองเท้าสวมที่ไม่ลื่นค่ะ เนื่องจากบริเวณทางเดินวัดบางจุดค่อนข้างลื่นนะคะ
#วิหารพระเจ้ากือนา
วิหารพระเจ้ากือนา ตั้งอยู่ริมผาก่อนถึงน้ำตกใกล้กับลานจอดรถ หน้าบันประดับด้วยไม้แกะสลักรูปนกยูง ประดับกระจกสีฟ้าเขียว ภายในประดิษฐานพระพุทธรูปปางมารวิชัยแบบชาวลั้วะ ปัจจุบันเห็นเพียงแต่แนวอิฐอยู่ข้างลำธาร ตรงฐานพระประธาน มีการสร้างศาลาครอบเอาไว้ แต่ยังมองเห็นแนวแท่นพระอยู่
#เจดีย์ทรงพม่า
เมื่อเดินเข้ามาในวัดอีกนิด จะพบกับเจดีย์โบราณที่ถูกปกคลุมด้วยมอสและเฟิร์นสีเขียวขจี ช่วยขับให้ที่นี่ดูมีมนต์ขลัง เจดีย์นี้เป็นศิลปะสมัยครูบาศรีวิชัยแต่สร้างโดยช่างชาวพม่าจึงทำให้ลักษณะของเจดีย์จึงออกมาเป็นศิลปะแบบพม่า สันนิษฐานว่ารูปทรงน่าจะคล้ายกันกับวัดมหาวัน ถนนท่าแพ เชียงใหม่ แต่สภาพที่หลงเหลืออยู่ในปัจจุบันถูกขุดเจาะเอาของสำคัญที่บรรจุอยู่ภายในเจดีย์ไปตั้งแต่สมัยสงครามโลก
#น้ำตกภายในวัด
อีกหนึ่งจุดไฮไลต์ของวัดนี้คือน้ำตก ซึ่งอยู่ริมผา ลองนั่งเงียบๆ ทำจิตใจให้สงบ แล้วฟังเสียงน้ำตก เสียงนกร้อง และเสียงใบไม้ต้องลมนอกจากจะผ่อนคลายแล้ว ยังทำให้เรามีสสมาธิมาก ๆ จากจุดนี้เองเพื่อนๆจะสามารถมองเห็นวิวเมืองเชียงใหม่ได้ออกไปไกลสุดลูกหูลูกตาเลยล่ะ
#บันไดนาค
บันไดนาคริมน้ำตก เป็นบันไดเก่าแก่ที่เคยเส้นทางแสวงบุญ สำหรับการเดินขึ้นดอยในสมัยก่อน เส้นทางดังกล่าวเป็นที่รู้จักในหมู่นักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างชาติว่า Monk’s Trail นั่นเอง
#หอพระพุทธรูปริมผา
หอพระพุทธรูปแห่งนี้อยุ่ริมหน้าผา ติดลำธารที่ไหลลงสู่น้ำตก เดิมเป็นหอพระพุทธรูปที่สวยงามมาก มีผู้เล่าว่าสมัยก่อนพระที่อยู่ตรงหน้าผาเป็นพระแบบเชียงแสน และมีพระพุทธรูปศักดิ์สิทธ์องค์หนึ่งเรียกว่า พระไล่กา ต่อมาภายหลังมีชาวไทยใหญ่หลบภัยสงครามมาอยู่ที่ถ้ำผาลาดนี้ จึงพากันสร้างพระพุทธรูปไว้สักการะและยึดเหนี่ยวจิตใจ ปัจจุบันเป็นอีกจุดในวัดที่พุทธศาสนิกชนนิยมมาปฏิบัติธรรมนั่งสมาธิ
