"This workpiece depicts a scene after Suletta has just finished eating. She intends to take a nap on her lounge chair while listening to soft music through the speakers. As she dozes off, she suddenly has a strange dream. Her food turns into a giant fish-shaped mobile suit that attacks her. She must pilot Aerial, riding a jetski, to fight it. In this dream, the bowl of ramen and soup are overturned, forming a moving, lifelike tunnel, Seawater splashes onto the floor, and a fork becomes her weapon. The colors of Aerial and the jetski are inspired by the colors of wasabi and soup, while the colors of the fish come from the colors of the containers themselves.
The idea for this workpiece came late last year while I was dining at a Japanese restaurant. Looking at the plate of saba fish, these playful images sparked my imagination."
