Time Capsule
JAZZY SPORT LONDON is the first international team of ‘Jazzy Sport’, aiming to connect the local music scene between Japan, UK, and beyond.
They are a collective to offer a new form of harmony through music : Currently hosting radio residencies at Voices Radio in London and Tsubaki FM in Tokyo to introduce local DJs and hosting local parties that break all boundaries between any borders.
They focus on inviting new talents from all over the world, starting with London and Japan to build a space for artists and music lovers to share the passion.
NINA YAMADA
Born and raised in Kamakura, Japan - currently based in London. Nina Yamada is a DJ and founder of Jazzy Sport London which is the first international branch of Jazzy Sport, an independent record label and store branching all over Japan since 2002.
Influenced by her father, Nina started to DJ and discover her own sounds through her father’s extensive vinyl collections. She specialises in deep house, but her playing crosses over between Afro-beat, Jazz, Latin, Reggae and many other genres.
AYANA HOMMA
Singer from Tokyo, Japan. Expressing through a low and gravitating voice as she explores the journey in voice expression. Growing up in Singapore, Japan, and studying Jazz in the deep mountains of California, she is now based in London. She is part of a Japanese Reggae band “Tokyo Ridden Band” and an Indian fusion band “Sound Anthropology”. She is also part of a music collective “Jazzy Sport London”, aiming to connect the scene between Japan and Europe to beyond.
