🎶Lumpini Park Centenary Celebration 🎶

Celebrate a historic milestone as Lumpini Park marks 100 years of being at the heart of Bangkok’s cultural and community life. This special centenary concert brings together the elegance of live orchestral music and the spirit of the city, featuring the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan administration, supported by B.Grimm. Under the direction of Maestro Vanich Potavanich, the evening will also showcase the talents of vocalist Kemawat Rungtham.

Following the Khon performances, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra brought the evenings to a vibrant close with live orchestral concerts under the open sky at Lumpini Park.

Under the direction of Nora-ath Chanklum, the orchestra delivered an engaging and dynamic program that resonated with audiences in a relaxed outdoor setting. Joined by guest vocalists Note Sarun and Kamm Kulkornpat, the performances added warmth and energy, creating memorable moments of connection and joy.

The stage came alive with the artistry of the Khon dancers from the Kukrit Institute Performing Arts Center, whose precision, grace, and storytelling captivated audiences across both evenings. Their performances beautifully showcased the richness of Thailand’s cultural heritage, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
Set against the open-air backdrop of the park, the experience was both intimate and powerful, a true celebration of tradition shared with the community.

KHON-CONCERT IN THE PARK RETURNS! 🎭🎶

Due to the overwhelming popularity and enthusiastic audience response, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra with the support of B. Grimm and the Bangkok Metropolitan administration is delighted to announce two additional performances of Khon-Concert in the Park. This unique open-air event brings together the grandeur of a full symphony orchestra with the elegance and dramatic storytelling of Thailand’s traditional Khon masked dance. This will be performed by artists at the Kukrit Institute of Performing Arts Center.

Audiences will enjoy five spectacular performances on the weekend of March 22, including highlights such as the famous Snake Dance and the lively Pree Prem (Monkey) performance, showcasing the beauty, athleticism, and storytelling of classical Thai theatre. Following these performances, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra will present a special concert, creating a magical evening of music and culture in the heart of the city.

Any updates regarding the performance on the 29th of March will be announced soon.

The Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for Khon-cert in the Park at Lumpini Park Pavilion. Your presence and warm support made the evening truly memorable.

A special highlight of the night was the magnificent performance by the Khon dancers from the Kukrit Institute Performing Arts Center, whose artistry and dedication brought the beauty of traditional Thai culture vividly to life.
