This area was originally opened as a community arts space in the theater community. It was inspired from a trip to tour performance at Australia and has seen the work of art and turns it into a public space in a small house. We believes that the real answer is to have the opportunity to live with art, drama, and sustainable. Starting from a small room in the house is performing and has the publici
ty in the village to persuade the community to participate until happen the director of the village and then gradually expanded to other areas of public people who do art on a wide scale rather than specific housing communities. In during more than 11 years, we have the gradual development of the management and focus on expanding the audience and participate in community activities, art lover. From the arts space for community as a creative point of origin and development of Thai Marionette in the name “Sema Thai Marionette” and the experiment was performed first on the year 2004 with Thai marionette show in the story “Suttha Mahaburuth” the first Buddhist imagined story. (“Suttha” from the word “Moral Principles” its mean the instruction of Buddha called “Dharma of a man worthy of respect or good person”). The show has been accepted by the media and audience in the village and from other place to attention come to watch the show a lot of both Thai and foreigners. But the show is just such a short period of time. Sema Thai Marionette is the creation of the show and Thai marionette new forms up on this space continuously. Thai marionette more than 80 was born at this arts space. In the year 2511, Sema Thai Marionette was realized of the audience and media attention, came to visit the show at this space continuously. The intention is to open this area to the art of local marionette theater, the first of Bangkok in the name “Semathai Puppet Theatre” officially by open a marionette show every month on the 2nd and 4th Saturday week.
