The Chairperson of the SPLM party Salva Kiir has revoked the appointment of Akol Paul Kordit and Tulio Odongi as the First deputy political Affairs and organization and Secretary for Administration and Finance respectively.

in a similar decree read on the state-own TV, SSBC Friday evening, Salva Kiir confirmed Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel as the new First Deputy of Political Affairs and Organization and Mary Apai as the new Secretary for Administration and Finance respectively.

Kiir also confirmed fifteen other members of the party’s political bureau.

Western Equatoria State governor has released 100 Million SSP for education sector in the state.

On the 13th of January 2022, the Governor of Western Equatoria State, Hon. Lt. Gen. Alfred Futuyo Karaba, released a sum of 100 million SSP (100,000,000 South Sudan Pound) for the state's education programs.

The money is to given to County Commissioners in each of the ten counties, with each receiving ten million SSP (10,000,000 South Sudan Pound).

The governor also issued an order directing school administrators not to allow students or teachers to leave Classes during lessons time, and the police will enforce the order by arresting the pupils and students.

General Futuyo also directed the following school fees for Government primary and secondary schools:

Primary 1-3 will Pay a school fees of 1,500 SSP.
Primary 4-6 will pay school fees of 2,500 SSP.
Primary 7&8 will pay a school fees of 5,000 SSP
Secondary 1-4 will pay only 10,000 SSP school fees per year.

The order also gives chances to the education directors in each county to employ 40 teachers.

Sudan's Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok has resigned after another day of mass protests rocked the capital Khartoum.
Thousands of people marched against his recent deal to share power with the army, who staged a coup in October.
Mr Hamdok's decision to quit leaves the army in full control.
In a televised address, Mr Hamdok said he had tried his best to stop the country from "sliding towards disaster", but that "despite everything that has been done to reach a consensus... it has not happened".
Thousands of people were on the streets of the capital Khartoum and the city of Omdurman on Sunday, chanting and calling on the military to leave politics alone.
More than 50 people have been killed at protests since the coup, including at least two people killed on Sunday, according to the pro-democracy Sudan Central Doctors' Committee.

Did you know Silver X joined the music industry before those of Daimond, Davido and Wizkid and if not because of tribalism, he would have been the flag bearer of South Sudanese music industry by now.

Before we got our independence, tribalism had less effect on our music industry, SSD fans used to dance and sing to any song produced by any South Sudanese artist regardless of their tribes and background. Wele was a hit, masura was a hit , Fetesu sokol hit to mention but a few.

Today if you are not from the same tribe with the artist, junubin will hardly download your song , or attend your concert. Shows are being divided into Equatoria shows and Bhar El Ghazal shows.

Today promoters organise shows and almost 90% of the artists lineup are from the same tribe or community, friends and family members. Too much favouritism in the music industry instead of merits based on talent and value of the artist.
