Possible ways how to repay our national Basketball team's performance.

1. Building World Class National Basket Court in Juba.
2. Government to support Basket development initiatives across the states.
3. Maintaining peace in South Sudan.
4. Harnessing young talents to replace the current stars.
5. Harambee and fundraising ceremonies through Basket games to support the poor and peace programs.
6. Giving Coach Royal Ivy South Sudan nationality and national award of merit.

By doing these above, Coach Royal Ivy and Luol Deng will be national heroes like Drogba of the Ivory Coast who brought their civil war to an end in 2006 through a football match.

As the World Cup African Qualifiers enters a defining moment South Sudan remain loyal to its consistency policy, which has been crucial to a team that a year and half ago struggled to qualify for the FIBA AfroBasket.

The return of most of the squad that started South Sudan's African Qualifiers campaign in February is a sign of the team's identity, although they are expected to add a few new faces to go up against equally ambitious Egypt, DR Congo and Senegal.

South Sudan have learned the African basketball
specificities quickly enough to keep them on the pole position for what could be their biggest achievement sofar. If they win their next three games, it will be a game-changing in the African basketball landscape.

Stay away from University of Juba land, Prof. John Akec warns land grabbers

The Vice chancellor of the University of Juba, Professor John Akec has issued a warning against land grabbers to stay away from the University's land.

The Vice chancellor added that Central Equatoria state government has no right to give away or sell the university’s land in the customs area of Juba.

Prof Akec threatened that if their appeals fail to be heard, they will resist the possible grabbing of the university's land by any means possible.
