πŸ“’ PUBLIC APPEAL FOR SUPPORT

AWEIL STUDENTS APPEAL FOR SUPPORT TOWARD CULTURAL UNIFORMS

Aweil Students Association – St. Lawrence Academy Secondary & Primary School is appealing to the general public, well-wishers, government officials, NGOs, and all friends of education for support in acquiring cultural uniforms for Aweil students.

Date: 29 August 2026
By: Deng Chur Lual

The students say their culture, heritage, and identity are an important part of South Sudan’s diversity. The cultural uniforms will help them proudly represent and preserve their culture.

The uniforms will be used during:

1️⃣ Cultural days and celebrations
2️⃣ School activities
3️⃣ National events where students represent Aweil and South Sudan πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡Έ

The association says the uniforms will help promote unity, preserve cultural identity, and inspire pride among young people.

However, as students, they do not have enough resources to achieve this goal alone. They are therefore appealing to leaders, parents, well-wishers, organizations, and members of the public to support them through financial contributions, materials, or any other form of assistance.

Every contribution, big or small, will be highly appreciated. Your support can help preserve our culture and inspire the next generation.

An Earnest Appeal to His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit

By: Deng Chur Lual
Chairman, Aweil Association – SLA Secondary School

As a secondary school student, a concerned youth and a proud citizen of the Republic of south Sudan, I extend my profound respect to your leadership and your unwavering commitment to national peace and stability.

In the spirit of reconciliation, national, unity, and forgiveness, I humbly appeal to you to consider the clemency and release of vice president Dr Benjamin Bol Mel.

This act of magnanimity would serve as a powerful symbol of healing and cohesion.
It would reaffirm our collective dedication to dialogue over division and to building south Sudan where all leaders work together for the common good of our people.

We, the students and future leaders of this nation, believe that forgiveness is the foundation of progress, by embracing inclusivity, we can strengthen the fabric of our nation and secure a brighter future for the next generation.

May the almighty grant you wisdom strength, and discernment as you continue to steer our nation.
