π Muharram 1448 Hijri: A Time for Reflection and Fasting π
As we enter the blessed month of Muharram, one of the four sacred months in Islam, let us take this opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Allah through worship, prayer, repentance, and good deeds.
The Day of Ashura (10th Muharram) is a special day in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί encouraged Muslims to fast on this day, as fasting Ashura is a means of seeking Allah's forgiveness for the sins of the previous year.
For those who are able, it is recommended to fast on the 9th and 10th of Muharram, or the 10th and 11th, following the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet ο·Ί.
π€² Increase your prayers.
π Recite more Qur'an.
β€οΈ Give charity.
π Observe voluntary fasting.
π Draw closer to Allah.
May Allah accept our fasting, forgive our shortcomings, and bless us with peace, guidance, and abundant rewards during this sacred month.
Ameen.
