Davido shares how he connected his father with the World Bank president during the World Cup.

During an interview, the singer shared that his father had been trying to get in touch with the World Bank president because of a business deal. According to Davido, he eventually met the World Bank president at a hotel during the World Cup, where the official recognised him after watching his performance.

He recalled:

"My dad, he's been trying to, because he has a lot of friends in high places, he's been trying to look for the president of, like, the World Bank or something. Funny, he's been trying to get to the guy. The guy is at the World Cup, sees me in the hotel. This is one of the most defining moments of my life. He sees me in the hotel and says, 'Oh Davido, I enjoyed your performance. I'm the president of the World Bank.'

I said, 'Oh, hold on. Hello, Daddy. I have the president of the World Bank.' 'Oh, give him the phone.' gave him the phone and connected, the deal. That was beautiful to see."

🚨 China has begun testing a robot traffic officer in Yongkang, Jinhua City, east China’s Zhejiang Province, as part of efforts to improve traffic management through advanced technology.

The robot is designed to assist human traffic officers with basic and repetitive duties at intersections, including directing traffic and providing road safety reminders to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

According to the report, the robot can operate continuously for up to four hours after just 30 minutes of charging, allowing it to provide extended assistance at busy intersections.

The trial highlights China’s increasing use of robotics and artificial intelligence in public services, with the technology intended to support human officers and improve road safety and traffic efficiency.

The US Food and Drug Administration has approved a new HIV pill that puts two medicines into one tablet taken once a day.

According to a report by Reuters, the agency, which decides which medicines may be sold in the United States, cleared the drug on 27 August.

It was made by the drug company Gilead Sciences and is sold as Bixlenvo.

It is not for people just starting HIV care. It is meant for adults whose virus is already under control, as a way of trading a complicated daily routine for a single pill.

Gilead said the approval rests on two of its own late-stage trials, in which people who switched to the one tablet kept the virus down through the first year, with headache, nausea and diarrhoea the side effects reported most often.

One trial was built around people the simpler treatments had left behind: a group who had been on HIV medicine for close to 30 years and were taking anywhere between two and 11 pills a day, most of them because their virus had grown resistant to the easier options.

The pill is not a cure, and no regulator outside the United States has approved it.

FAK£ LAWYER ARRE$T£D AT WATERLOO MAGISTRATE COURT‼️😱

A man has reportedly been arrested after allegedly posing as a lawyer for about five years and representing clients in court. 😳

According to reports, he allegedly went into the Magistrate’s chambers to seek bail for a client and reportedly received NLe 10,000. But the situation reportedly took an unexpected turn when questions were raised about his credentials. 👀 🤔

He allegedly admitted to impersonating a lawyer and was subsequently handed over to the Sierra Leone Police for investigation.

Five years of allegedly representing clients without being a genuine lawyer? This is a serious warning to everyone seeking legal services. 👂

The allegations have not been proven in court.
