The journey of kombucha to the perfect fizzy drink!

From the Kombucha Fermenter, your brew goes into the Second Fermentation Bottle, where you can add fruit, herbs, and other flavorful ingredients. After the second fermentation, it is poured through the Filter Funnel into storage bottles and placed in the fridge to become perfectly chilled and extra refreshing. 🫧❄️

And finally, the best part – it travels down your throat and into your stomach, where all those beneficial cultures can get to work. 😉

Iz Kombucha Fermenterja kombučo prelijemo v steklenico za drugo fermentacijo, kjer ji lahko dodamo sadje, zelišča ali druge okusne dodatke. Po drugi fermentaciji jo skozi lijak s filtrom prelijemo v steklenice za shranjevanje in postavimo v hladilnik, kjer se ohladi in postane prijetno osvežilna. 🫧❄️

Kombucha fermenter is one of the favorite Kefirko family fermenters for our friend Anita Šumer (Anita Šumer - sourdoughmania ) – sourdough enthusiast and fermentation teacher. She loves experimenting with this flavorful probiotic drink, and her go-to is refreshing mint kombucha 🌿

Her fermentation cultures travel with her too – she takes them on vacation to keep her gut happy wherever she goes!

🍇 Aronia Kombucha – Second Fermentation Magic

Want to take your kombucha to the next level?
Second fermentation is where you add flavor, natural fizz, and create a more functional, antioxidant-rich drink.

This recipe by Nina (One with Nature) combines aronia + fruit for a powerful boost of antioxidants, flavonoids, and vitamin C – supporting your immune system and helping reduce inflammation.

👉 Important: for second fermentation, remove the SCOBY and starter, then add your flavors and let it ferment at room temperature for a few more days.

🍇 Kombuča z aronijo – čarovnija sekundarne fermentacije

Sekundarna fermentacija je korak, kjer dodaš okus, naravne mehurčke in ustvariš bolj funkcionalno pijačo, bogato z antioksidanti.

Recept je pripravila Nina (Eno z naravo ) – kombinacija aronije in sadja prinaša veliko antioksidantov, flavonoidov in vitamina C, ki podpirajo imunski sistem in pomagajo zmanjševati vnetja.

👉 Pomembno: pri sekundarni fermentaciji odstrani SCOBY (gobico) in starter za naslednjo rundo, nato dodaj okuse in pusti fermentirati še nekaj dni na sobni temperaturi.

As the days get warmer, it’s a great time to start brewing your own kombucha at home ☀️ We have plenty of starters and SCOBYs available.

Behind it all is our Saška — a biologist and fermentation expert with years of experience. She takes care of our cultures and shares her knowledge with our team, community, and even students — like this Wednesday at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology in Maribor.

At Kefirko, we believe fermentation should be simple and accessible. That’s why we’re here with knowledge, support, and answers whenever you need them.
